0A go-to-market strategy is the plan for how a business will actually reach and sell to its target customers when launching a new product or entering a new market. It covers who the ideal customer is, how they'll hear about the product, and how the sale actually gets made, whether that's through a sales team, self-serve signup, or partnerships. Without one, launches tend to default to broad, unfocused messaging aimed at everyone, which usually reaches no one in particular.
Whether you're about to launch a new product and need a plan for reaching the right customers, entering a new market and unsure how to approach it, or want to learn how to build a go-to-market plan yourself, Toskie TeamUp gives you a direct path to real collaborators instead of a cold job posting. Browse actual profiles and case studies, filter for the kind of collaboration you need, whether that's TeamUp for hands-on planning or Mentor for learning the process, and start the conversation yourself. If you're the one with go-to-market expertise rather than the one looking for it, you can set up a collaborator profile and start hearing directly from people who need it.
Toskie makes it easier to find and connect with skilled professionals for exactly what you need.

Whether you're looking for a Go to Market Strategy collaborator nearby or someone with a very specific kind of expertise, Toskie helps take the guesswork out of finding them and starting the conversation.
A go-to-market strategy collaborator on Toskie TeamUp defines who to target, how to reach them, and how the whole launch plan fits together before money gets spent on execution.
Defining exactly who the product is for and how to describe it in language that matches how that customer actually talks about their problem, instead of generic feature language.
Deciding which channels, like outbound sales, content, partnerships, or paid acquisition, actually fit the product and the customer, rather than trying all of them at once.
Structuring how the product is priced and packaged so it matches what the target customer is actually willing to pay and how they expect to buy.
Mapping out how a lead actually becomes a customer, including what happens at each stage, so the sales motion doesn't rely on guesswork once real prospects start showing up.
Every collaborator profile on Toskie gives you a real look at their background and past launches before you reach out, and starting that conversation doesn't cost anything upfront. The clearest warning sign in this field is a plan that tries to speak to everyone at once instead of a specific, well-defined customer.
A sharp point of view on your ICP — ask them directly who they think your ideal customer is and why, rather than accepting a vague answer.
Portfolio depth — the range of launches and industries they've actually worked on, since go-to-market for a subscription app looks different from one for an enterprise service.
Relevant industry experience — whether they've worked with a business at your stage, since a strategy built for a funded scale-up doesn't always transfer to an early-stage launch.
Clarity of proposed approach — whether they can walk you through the plan in plain terms and explain the reasoning, not just hand over a slide deck.
For most early-stage products, building a focused go-to-market plan takes around two months of concentrated work, covering customer profile, channel choice, and pricing before execution begins.
Trying to speak to everyone with generic messaging instead of building around a specific ideal customer profile. A plan with no clear "who" tends to convert poorly no matter how much is spent behind it.
You can start smaller. Most early-stage go-to-market work is better handled with targeted, outsourced help for specific tasks rather than full-time hires, especially before product-market fit is confirmed.
No. Toskie facilitates the connection; any commercial or payment terms are arranged directly between you and the collaborator.
