5Social media marketing is the practice of building a business's presence and audience on platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, or TikTok through content, engagement, and sometimes paid promotion. It covers everything from planning what to post and when, to actually creating that content, to tracking whether any of it is moving the business forward. Done well, it's judged by outcomes that matter to the business, not just likes or follower counts.
Whether your business needs a consistent social presence you don't have time to manage yourself, an existing account that isn't producing real results, or want to learn how to run social media yourself, Toskie TeamUp gives you a direct path to real collaborators instead of a cold job posting. Browse actual profiles and case studies, filter for the kind of collaboration you need, whether that's TeamUp for ongoing management or Mentor for learning the skill in-house, and start the conversation yourself. If you're the one with social media marketing expertise rather than the one looking for it, you can set up a collaborator profile and start hearing directly from people who need it.
Toskie makes it easier to find and connect with skilled professionals for exactly what you need.
Discover — Search for Social Media Marketing collaborators based on the skill or requirement you have in mind.
Filter — Narrow things down using details like skills, experience, and location.
Review — Look through a collaborator's profile to get a real sense of their background and what they've actually done.
Connect — Reach out to the people who seem like a genuine fit for your requirement.
Collaborate — Talk through the project, define what you actually need, and start working together once it feels like the right match.
Whether you're looking for a Social Media Marketing collaborator nearby or someone with a very specific kind of expertise, Toskie helps take the guesswork out of finding them and starting the conversation.
A social media marketing collaborator on Toskie TeamUp plans, creates, and tracks content so a business's social presence actually builds toward something.
Building out a content calendar and creating the posts themselves, from captions to visuals, based on what the specific platform and audience respond to.
Monitoring comments and messages, responding where it matters, and staying on top of what people are actually saying about the brand.
Running and optimizing paid promotion when organic reach alone isn't enough to hit specific goals, like driving traffic or leads.
Measuring results against business goals rather than vanity metrics, so a business knows whether social media is actually contributing to growth.
Toskie lets you look through a collaborator's actual managed accounts and background before you reach out, and starting that first conversation doesn't cost anything. Since it's easy to look busy on social media without producing real business value, the clearest question to ask is whether they measure success by engagement numbers or by outcomes that actually matter to your bottom line.
What they measure success by — ask directly whether they optimize for likes and followers or for outcomes like leads and sales, since the two require different strategies.
Content sourcing — ask where visuals and content actually come from, since a mix of custom and properly licensed material tends to signal a more serious approach than generic stock content.
Approval process — confirm how content gets reviewed and approved before posting, so there are no surprises about tone or messaging going out under your brand.
Relevant platform and industry experience — social strategy for a consumer product looks different from a B2B service, so ask about direct experience with your kind of business.
Judge them by outcomes that actually matter to your business, like leads, sales, or website traffic, not vanity metrics alone. A large following with no connection to real business results isn't the same as an effective social strategy.
It depends on your goals and timeline. Organic content builds an audience over time but can be slow, while paid promotion accelerates specific outcomes like traffic or lead generation. Many businesses use a mix of both rather than relying on just one.
That depends on the scope you agree on. Full-service social media management typically includes monitoring and responding to comments and messages, not just posting content, so it's worth clarifying whether that's included or a separate service.
Toskie doesn't set or process rates. Pricing and terms are agreed directly between you and the collaborator you connect with, based on the scope you define.
No. Toskie facilitates the connection; any commercial or payment terms are arranged directly between you and the collaborator.
